Why we ask each question

Some questions feel personal. Here is what each group is for. You can answer “I do not know” to any question and still get results.

Where your rental is: Tenancy rules are provincial. RTO Pro is written for Ontario, so we check first that Ontario information applies to you.
Your relationship to the unit and shared facilities: Whether Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act appears to cover you can depend on details like being named on a lease or sharing a kitchen or bathroom with the owner. These questions help flag when a legal professional should take a closer look.
Documents and dates: Notices, applications, and orders often carry deadlines. Knowing what you received and which dates appear on it helps us point out what may be time-sensitive.
Safety and eviction risk: If you are locked out, expecting the sheriff, or dealing with unsafe conditions or violence, we show urgent resources first instead of general information.
